For BlockDistraction to work, it needs permission to read and change data on websites. This permission allows the extension to detect the current website address and apply your blocking or redirect rules.
If the onboarding page did not appear or browser access was removed, enable it manually:
Without website access, BlockDistraction cannot apply blocking rules. The extension also checks this permission periodically and may reopen its permission onboarding page if required access has been removed.
BlockDistraction does not collect or transmit your browsing history. Website blocking is processed locally in your browser. Your visited website addresses, blocked website addresses, rule contents, redirect URLs, search queries, and passwords are not sent to our analytics server.
Your blocking rules and usage data remain on your device. Where supported, the browser may synchronize certain general preferences through its own browser account. This is separate from BlockDistraction accounts and Pro licensing.
BlockDistraction includes optional privacy-preserving aggregate technical diagnostics. This feature is disabled by default and only starts after you explicitly enable it in the extension settings. It does not include browsing activity, rule contents, email addresses, license keys, passwords, raw error messages, or stack traces.

Log in to your My Account page to find your unique License Key. Copy it, open the BlockDistraction extension Options, and paste the key into the Pro section. After successful verification, your Pro features will unlock.
Your License Key is generated as part of payment processing and should appear on your Account Dashboard shortly after the purchase is processed. You can use it to activate Pro.
Note: Account and plan details may take 1-2 minutes to appear while we process the transaction. Monthly and Annual customers will also receive access to recurring billing management after synchronization. Lifetime is a one-time purchase and does not create a recurring Paddle subscription, so no subscription-management button is expected. During the 14-day guarantee period, the dashboard shows the refund deadline and support contact instead.
Yes. BlockDistraction supports major Chromium-based desktop browsers including Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Opera.
Browser interfaces and extension support can differ slightly between platforms, but the same BlockDistraction license can be used across supported browsers.

Yes. With the Universal License, the same BlockDistraction Pro key can be used across supported desktop browsers and supported Android browsers. This includes Chrome, Firefox and Edge on desktop, plus supported Firefox and Microsoft Edge versions on Android.
For Monthly and Annual subscriptions, you can update payment methods or cancel recurring billing from your My Account page. Click "Open Customer Portal" to open the secure Paddle billing portal.
Lifetime is a one-time purchase. It does not renew and does not create a subscription that can be canceled in Paddle. To request a full refund under the 14-day money-back guarantee, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase.

Yes. You can manage available changes between recurring subscription plans through your BlockDistraction account and Paddle Customer Portal.
To do this:
The account shows the payment due now and the next billing amount before you confirm a plan change. Manage Subscription opens the secure Paddle portal.
Lifetime is a separate one-time purchase and is not changed or canceled through the Paddle subscription portal.
On Firefox for Android, a blocked website may briefly begin navigating before BlockDistraction redirects or blocks it. This is related to differences in how Firefox Mobile handles extension navigation and blocking.
BlockDistraction still applies the configured rule, but a brief visual flash can sometimes occur before the browser completes the block or redirect. This behavior is generally not seen in the same way on desktop browsers.
Open the BlockDistraction Settings page and find the Diagnostics section. You can generate a technical report containing information useful for troubleshooting, such as the extension version, permission state, rule counts, Declarative Net Request status, Focus Session state, and other technical status information.
You can Copy Report or Export JSON and send it to support if needed.
Generating a report does not automatically send anything to us. The report remains on your device until you choose to copy, export, or share it.
The diagnostic report is designed not to include your rule addresses, browsing history, license key, email address, password, or other private rule contents.
Debug Mode is a Pro troubleshooting feature. When enabled, BlockDistraction can retain a limited local history of structured technical events that can help diagnose extension problems.
To enable it, open the Settings page and turn on Debug Mode. Diagnostic event history remains stored locally on your device and can be included in the diagnostic tools when troubleshooting.
Debug Mode and technical analytics are separate features. Enabling Debug Mode does not enable telemetry or give consent to send technical analytics.
You can clear the locally stored diagnostic history from the Diagnostics section at any time.
Support & Privacy: When you submit this form, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide so we can respond to your support request. Account, plan, billing, and license information may also be processed where necessary to resolve licensing or payment issues.
